Work Hours Calculator

Calculate worked time after breaks, including shifts that end the next day.

How the Work Hours Calculator Works

Enter the time you started, the time you finished and the total break taken. The calculator subtracts the break from the full shift duration.

How Break Time Is Calculated

Break duration is deducted once from the gross time between start and end. A break cannot be longer than the shift itself.

How Overnight Shifts Are Calculated

When the end time is earlier than the start time, WageDesk treats it as the following day. For example, 22:00 to 06:00 is an eight-hour shift.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I calculate my working hours?

Enter your start time, end time and any break in minutes. Your worked time is the gross shift duration minus the break.

How do I calculate working hours with a break?

Add all unpaid break minutes. WageDesk deducts them from the total time between your start and end times.

How are overnight shifts calculated?

An end time earlier than the start time is treated as the next calendar day, so the duration never becomes negative.

Does the calculator store my data?

No. A calculation is only saved if you choose Add as Shift in your personal workspace.
